Nielsens: Baseball very very good to Fox
•Home run. Major League Baseball's All-Star Game telecast hit 14.6 million viewers on Fox Tuesday, its biggest at-bat since 2002. Monday, ESPN's Home Run Derby scored an impressive 8.3 million.
•Disney delivers. Disney Channel's Wizards on Deck With Hannah Montana, a three-episode Friday crossover, averaged 9.3 million viewers, easily winning the night and marking the year's top scripted cable telecast.
•Talent rises. NBC's America's Got Talent drew a season-high 13.5 million viewers opposite the All-Star game. But the second episode of the network's Great American Road Trip (3.3 million Monday) performed even worse in its new time slot, and few heard Thursday drama The Listener (3.9 million), prompting an early exit at month's end.
•Cable openers. TNT's Leverage returned Wednesday with a second-best 3.9 million viewers, and the premiere of drama Dark Blue (3.5 million), which followed, held most of the audience. Also Wednesday, Comedy Central's Michael and Michael Have Issues was low with 903,000, while Bravo did worse with Miami Social (648,000).
•More cable starts. HGTV's fourth-season opener for Design Star Sunday was its biggest yet, with 2.4 million viewers. Saturday's season opener of TBS' Bill Engvall Show was modest with 1.5 million.
•Preggers ABC Family's Labor Pains, Lindsay Lohan's straight-to-cable film, drew a low 2.1 million viewers Sunday. That's the same size crowd MTV corralled Friday for the finale of reality series 16 and Pregnant.
•Burn on fire. USA's Burn Notice claimed a series-high 6.7 million viewers Thursday, followed by a second-best 6.2 million for Royal Pains.
•Potter not fodder. ABC's A Year in the Life special on Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling conjured 4.4 million viewers Thursday, nearly matched by Univision's Premios Juventud awards (4.1 million). Sunday's ESPY Awards caught 2.3 million.
