The 500 Festival will debut a new timing and scoring system by SAI-Timing & Scoring and ChronoTrack Timing Systems, Inc at the 2009 OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon and Finish Line 500 Festival 5K.

The new system, which replaces ChampionChip, will utilize a light-weight disposable timing tag. The D-tag is an ultrahigh frequency and radio frequency identification device that will record the runner's official time, beginning when a participant crosses the start line.
