A few summers ago Lily Allen’s debut album “Alright, Still” was my soundtrack of the season. It made my top 10 two years in a row, since I took into consideration that it came out in England over the summer and then months later here in the states. This coming Tuesday sees the release of Lily’s second CD “It’s not me, it’s you”, and she doesn’t disappoint. Her lyrics are still snarky, clever and at times nostalgic. She covers pretty much everything, including, politics, falling in love, falling out of love, winning back friend, and partners who are a bummer in the sack.
She has definitely grown up on this album, and even pokes fun at celebrity life around her, not forgetting to include herself.
