Miss Irvington Halloween Festival kicks off with pageant Saturday
Irvington will hold events from Oct. 24-31 connected to the community’s 63rd annual Halloween Festival.
The celebration starts at 5 p.m. Saturday with a pageant to select the “Miss Irvington Halloween Festival” to be held at the Irvington Masonic Lodge, 5515 E. Washington St.
Upcoming events include a classical organ concert, a “slightly haunted” puppet show, an art auction and wine tasting, “haunted movie nights” and spooky stories at Irving Circle Park, 250 S. Audubon Rd.
The festival itself happens Oct. 31 with vendor booths along the 5700 block of East Washington Street, a parade through the neighborhood and other activities.
