Why did you become a teacher: I became a teacher because my mom (a huge influence in my life) is a teacher.
What goals do you have for your students: I want my students to acquire a love for learning. I believe all students can be successful in school!
What do you encourage parents to do at home to help their children strengthen particular skills: I encourage parents to take an active role in their child’s education . . . get to know the teacher, look in the backpack every night, ask their child questions about the school day. The more excited a parent is about school, the more the student will be excited about school!
Name your favorite movie: “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”
Name your favorite musician or band: Kenny Chesney.
What’s something your students might not know about you: I was a 10-year 4-H member. I completed over 100 projects throughout my 4-H career. I still LOVE to go to the fair and take my family every single summer!
