An Indianapolis man was shot to death about 3 p.m. Saturday in a Near Northside neighborhood, just a few days before his 22nd birthday.

Police identified the victim as Jerrell L. Bullock, 21.

Bullock was shot in the yard of a residence in the 500 block of East 31st Street. He was pronounced dead of multiple gunshot wounds about 3:25 p.m. at Methodist Hospital, said Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Sgt. Matthew Mount.

Witnesses said an argument preceded the shooting, according to Mount.

Police were still seeking clues as to the identity of the shooter, Mount said. Anyone with information is asked by police to contact IMPD Homicide at (317) 327-3475, or call Crime Stoppers at (317) 262-TIPS.
