Make it priority to keep drunken drivers off roads

While I don’t consider Sunday liquor sales to be a top priority, I do believe this issue is more important than many of the pet projects and other fringe issues that the legislature will discuss during the upcoming session (“Put Sunday liquor issue on ice,” Sept. 21).

The Sunday prohibition leads to drunken driving because some heavy drinkers who fail to plan ahead resort to drinking at bars and restaurants.
