Ludacris has been creepin' around Indianapolis. The three-time Grammy winner and full-time baller hosted a super secret album release party Nov. 3 at Talbott Street Bar.

DJ MetroGnome set the stage, sampling where he sampled snippets of tracks from "Theater of Tthe Mind," due in stores Nov. 25. It's a safe bet that it will leak out before.

The new record is the "Oceans Eleven" of hip-hop. It features Jay-Z, Nas, Chris Rock, Chris Brown, T-Payne and a whole set list more.

Luda came on stage and presented the director's cut video cut of the "One More Drink" video.

Ludacris, real name Christopher Bridges, borrowed from Chris Rock for "Everybody Hates Chris," performing it while interacting with the crowd. He called out to independent women who are, indeed, "ladies in the street but a freak in the bed" in "Nasty Girl." According to the applause, freaky ladies were aplenty at Talbott Street Monday night. Ludacris closed with "We Do it for Hip-Hop," which features Nas and Jay-Z on the album.

"If there was no money at the end of he day, we'd still be doing it," he said.

He made shout-outs to Latino, black, white and inde- pendent ladies, but it seemed out of place for him to leave out the Asian demographic, and stranger to not even mention the upcoming Election Day.

After the show, Luda spent some time with friends and fans in the VIP lounge upstairs, where host Red Bull was promoting its new cola.

Luda's party followed a surprise visit to John Marshall Middle School earlier that day.

Our rapper buddy left Talbott with security, a driver and two fine-looking hunnies. I get the feeling he really may have one or two in every area code.

Listener's ear

We asked people at Talbott Street Bar what they thought of the new album:

"I like that he's collaborating with artists he hasn't before." -- Carlo Manino, 23

"The video was good. Classic Ludacris. I expected more from him live. I expected him to play for an hour." -- David Albrecht, 23

It sounded pretty good because he brought other rappers. -Mike McGinley, 24

"I felt like it was classic Ludacris, but I wanted to hear more old-school hip-hop. He's diverse. I love that he has both Nas and Jay-Z." -- Marcus Kimbrough, 33

"I don't even listen to hip-hop, and I love him. His beats are sick and his rhymes are intelligent." -- Devin Howard, 25

It's new and fresh. -Karen Custer, 21

"I like the concept of using TV sitcoms as themes for the songs." -- Brooke Jahnke, 24

"It seems like he has a lot of featured artists to make up for artists that are more hip." -- Corey Piper, 22

"He's a true man of hip-hop." -- Alex Burr, 21
