Is the Capital city about to turn into the Derby City?

Louisville, Ky. is a two-hour drive from Indianapolis, but during this weekend’s Sweet 16, tourism folks there have us solely in their sights.

Graphics declaring “A national championship is in the Cards” and other messages, along with the “Louisville: Possibility City” logo, will be projected onto the sides of buildings. And as part of the effort, Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau employees will hand out information about visiting Louisville to passersby, reports Business First of Louisville.

It part of a regional branding effort called Louisville’s Possibility City. And it would be payback, in a way, since thousands of Louisville residents will be eating at restaurants and shopping in Indy during the hoops weekend.
