Washington, D.C., is anticipating a flurry of visits from fans of Dan Brown’s new thriller, “The Lost Symbol.”

Fans of “The Da Vinci Code” novelist can visit www.washington.org/lost symbol for help in exploring places from “The Lost Symbol,” which was released Tuesday.

Locations include the U.S. Capitol, the U.S. Botanic Garden, an early 20th-century Masonic stone temple at 16th and S streets and the George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria, Va.

Yellowstone record

Yellowstone National Park hosted a record number of visitors this summer, and it could have its busiest year ever.

Park officials said that nearly 2.3 million people visited Yellowstone in June, July and August. That’s up about 5 percent from the previous summer high set in 1999.
