Liquor stores miss out on Sunday business opportunity
I have hated the fact that I can’t buy liquor, beer or wine on Sunday. I am amazed that liquor stores do not want the opportunity to have another day of sales. Liquor stores thrive in other states where Sunday sales are allowed.
I, like my friends, already buy the bulk of everyday beer, wine and liquor while shopping at the grocery store. But if I want to choose a bottle of something special, I shop in a liquor store. If I owned a liquor store I would have tastings every Sunday afternoon, when most people have time for such pursuits. I bet my store would be full of curious shoppers willing to buy something that they can’t find in a grocery store: expertise, service and a great selection. As a partner in a small business, I am not afraid to work on Sundays, or any number of days to ensure that my business is successful.
