Legal problems for ex-IU QB

Former Indiana quarterback Kellen Lewis , who was suspended at IU and later kicked off the team for violations of team rules, faces charges in Valdosta, Ga.

Lewis, the starting quarterback for NCAA Division II Valdosta State, was charged with battery on Oct. 15.

He has remained the starting quarterback for Valdosta State since his arrest.

Lewis, who set numerous records while at IU, has thrown for 2,050 yards and rushed for 307 for Valdosta State (4-4).
