FISHERS — Lantern Road Elementary School students will honor veterans on Friday during a special program that includes film, songs and a skit.

Patriotic songs and a Veteran’s Day movie produced by the school’s media specialist and librarian Lori Silbert will be presented.

So far, about 84 veterans — including two who served during World War II — will attend the Lantern Road Salutes Veterans program.

The convocation will begin at 2 p.m. at the school, 10595 Lantern Road, followed by a reception where veterans and their family members have been invited to attend.

Veteran’s Day is Nov. 11.
