The Indiana Pacers and Fever announced a five-year sponsorship agreement with Kroger today.

“In this tough economic market, this is a very good partnership for both of us,” Pacers Sports and Entertainment president Jim Morris said.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Kroger is the official sponsor of the Fever and exclusive supermarket sponsor of the Pacers.

“As we’ve launched this joint venture, this partnership will add not only value for the Pacers and Kroger, but it will add value for our customers, our Fever fans and our Pacers fans,” Kroger central division president Bob Moeder said.

The announcement, which was attended by Pacers coach Jim O’Brien and All-Star forward Danny Granger, featured the unveiling of a Kroger sponsorship sign on the Jumbotron at center court at Conseco Fieldhouse.

“I do shop at Kroger,” Granger said with a laugh. “Even if I didn’t, I’d start.”
