Kat Von Dummy?

Ok, so this link is a few weeks old, but I really just wanted to comment on the show LA Ink. I watched a big chunk of the marathon over the weekend and the series finale last week.
Her narration is a little fake, but she seems like a genuinely likable person, and I'm fascinated by the clients' tattoos and stories. It's similar to Miami Ink except there's no douche fighting.
Last season, or season before last Kat Von D was sent packing from Miami Ink for being disrespectful and negative. Looking back on it, the whole thing seemed somewhat staged to set her up for her own show. If not, well, I'm glad she got a show out of it. I really admire her for being a female in a male dominated industry.
I have zero interest in sitting through Miami Ink and watching the tension (staged or real) between the guys. With LA Ink, I don't mind the little side stories about their real lives, but I mainly watch to see the tattoos.
Thoughts?

I think the show is corny as hell but it's entertaining. Corey, Hanna, and Kim's interview and commentary on their subjects makes up for Kat VD's (yeah, I wrote that) vapidity. My main issue is with the blatant product placement - "Hey, my dude X in Y band just stopped in for a tattoo, and what a coincidence, Y's new album comes out the week this episode airs!!!"

Neal Taflinger everybody! (I'm with you 100% on this)
I sometimes keep the TV on as background noise while I work. I record something on the same channel this show is on (probably Flip This/That House.) Out of nowhere I hear the most awful commentary on subject matter that I could really care less about. To myself I think "What the hell is this? Did someone give the Suicide Girls a television show???!!!" After about 5 minutes I walk into the living room to discover it's this waste of space. TV OFF. BLAM!
