Johnny Depp news-Pirates 4, Alice in Wonderland, The Lone Ranger?!

Looks like Johnny Depp isn't retiring after all, and is coming back strong with no less than three big-time pictures.

In an inspired bit of casting, Depp has signed on to play the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's adaptation of "Alice in Wonderland," and what a trippy movie that's going to be.

And in an inspired bit of casting, Depp has also signed on to play Tonto (yes, Tonto) in the upcoming "Lone Ranger" movie. That is simply brilliant.

And in, yes, an inspired bit of casting, Depp has also signed on to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in a fourth "Pirates of the Carribbean" flick. Okay...maybe not inspired, but it's appropriate.

And yes, I totally made up that Johnny Depp retiring thing. I mean, geez, he was just in "Sweeney Todd."
