John mellencamp rocked "The Crump" Tuesday night!
I was one of the fortunate few that witnessed an outstanding show on Tuesday night. The occasion was John Mellencamp returning to his "roots" and playing a private concert in a small theater in Columbus,Indiana. The show was being filmed for a new series on A&E Bio channel "Back Where We Started" which will air December/January. John was having the time of his life on stage and so were the lucky few in attendance. The set list wasn't that much different than his summer tour although he did reach back and try to play a few songs that he hadn't played in 30 years(with somewhat mixed results since he couldn't remember the words..haha). I'm not really very good at writing a review but here is a link to one that I enjoyed...also there are many videos up on youtube...just search Mellencamp @ Crump Theater. Although I've seen him many times in concert over the past 23 years(The Scarecrow Tour was my first) and have been a fan for at least 30 years, this show was really special to see in such an intimate setting.
