John Mayer, Slipknot headed to Verizon

Five-time Grammy Award winner John Mayer will perform July 5 at Verizon Wireless Music Center, 12880 E. 146th St., Noblesville.

Mayer will be joined by supporting acts Colbie Caillat and Brett Dennen.

Tickets, $59.50 and $35.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

In other concert news:

  • Slipknot will headline a new hard-rock festival tour titled Mayhem, which will make an Aug. 13 stop at Verizon. Other acts on the bill include Disturbed, Dragonforce, Mastodon, the Red Chord and Walls of Jericho. Tickets, $50.25, $40.25 and $25.75, go on sale at noon Saturday.

  • Long-running country duo Brooks & Dunn will perform July 20 at Verizon. Tickets, $59.25 and $31.75, go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • Rock band Nada Surf will perform June 9 at the Music Mill, 3720 E. 82nd St. Tickets, $15, go on sale at noon Friday.

  • Singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson will perform May 29 at the Music Mill as part of the "Z99.5 Smiley 6th Anniversary Party" presented by radio station WZPL-FM (99.5). Rock bands Virgin Millionaires and the Spill Canvas also will appear. Tickets, $20, go on sale at noon Friday.

  • Buckwheat Zydeco will perform June 2 at the Music Mill. Tickets, $17, or $15 if purchased in advance, go on sale at noon Friday.
