South Knox High School big man Mitchell Patton committed today to play basketball at IUPUI.

Patton, a 6-9, 250-pound senior, averaged 15.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.9 blocked shots as a junior.

“He was at IUPUI yesterday and today, and he’s thrilled to be playing for the Jaguars,” South Knox coach Joe Patton said.

“He has really good hands, soft hands, shoots the ball well, has college 3-point range. He passes well. He’s a good shot blocker. He’s a very skilled big man and he works extremely hard at the game.”

With Patton in the post, South Knox has gone 17-5 and 18-7 the past two seasons.
