IU makes cut with top recruit Irving
Kyrie Irving, Indiana University’s top recruiting target in the 2010 class, confirmed to The Star in a phone call today the Hoosiers are one of his finalists.
Irving first announced his finalists in a video interview on SNY.tv.
Irving, ranked No. 9 in his class and one of the most highly sought guards in the nation, said his finalists are IU, Duke, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Seton Hall and Connecticut.

The scoring point guard from New Jersey said he did not yet have dates for his official visits for IU and Duke but would definitely be visiting both.
He discussed in his video interview his relationship with IU and coach Tom Crean.
“I have a great relationship with all the coaches, the whole coaching staff, starting with coach Crean and it just trickles down to the assistant coaches, coach (Tim) Buckley and coach (Roshown) McLeod. I have great relationships with them.”
