Private internet service FlamencoNets, a minority enterprise business that is based in Indianapolis and was founded four years ago by president Raul Flamenco, is the first tenant signed at the 55,000-square-foot Purdue Research Park at AmeriPlex-Indianapolis.

The company leased enough room to hire about five employees and aims for a global presence.

The facility is one of four Purdue Research Parks around the state that serve as incubators for startup or expanding companies.

"When a small company starts to expand" globally, they can be overwhelmed with details, Flamenco said today in an interview before a 1:15 p.m. news conference.
