The 22nd Annual Indianapolis Art & Antiques Show and Sale is this Friday, March 13 – 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday, March 14 – 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday, March 15 – 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Special events include: An Art Demonstartion “Art In The Garden” Saturday, March 14 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. No charge with admission ticket. Exhibiting artists Douglas David and Forrest Formsma will each work on a painting and discuss the nature of his art with show attendees. Saturday Brunch, Lecture & Silent Auction with PBS’s Wes Cowan called “What Is The Antiques World Coming To? The Adventures Of A Real-Life History Detective” Saturday, March 14 at 10:15 a.m. (doors open at 9:30) Cowan, an appraiser on PBS’s Antiques Roadshow and one of the hosts of PBS’s History’s Mysteries and nationally prominent antiques dealer and auctioneer, will speak about his experiences in the auction business. Cowan is well known in areas ranging from paintings, ceramics, glass, art pottery, folk art and art-carved furniture to militaria and historic Americana.
