Indy 500 winner, Scott Dixon, on the later show

2007 Indy 500 winner, Scott Dixon will be on the Late show with David Letterman (who happens to co-own Rahal Letterman Racing with Bobby Rahal) on June 2nd. Show airs at 11:30 p.m. (ET) Monday June 2 on CBS.

I wonder if it is weird for David to interview drivers that are not on his team?

As some of you may re-call Danica Patrick went on the show late last year and Letterman, "Called in sick" but Danica was a former driver of his that left his team a year and a half ago to race for Andretti Green Racing and has since then WON a race. But then She went on again after her win and Letterman was there.
