Indianapolis Westside man dies from house fire injuries

A man who was rescued from a Westside fire and revived by paramedic died today.

Michael Sanders, 49, had been in critical condition at Wishard Hospital since the fire at his house at 1808 N. Wilcox St. at 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Wishard Spokesman Todd Harper said Sanders died early today.

Sanders had collapsed near the front door. Firefighters began resuscitation after determining he was not breathing and did not have a pulse. Sanders responded after about 10 minutes, fire officials said.
