INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller said Thursday that two lawsuits have been filed against telemarketing companies accused of using pre-recorded messages and auto-dialers to call Hoosiers with offers to lower their credit-card interest rates. A suit and request for a temporary restraining order against Florida-based Sapphire Marketing were filed in Johnson County, while a suit against San Francisco-based Genesis Capital Management was filed in Marion Superior Court. The state said both failed to register to do business in Indiana.(Star report)
