Casino to pull Obama lookalike ads
Indiana Live! Casino has agreed to pull ads that show a President Barack Obama lookalike calling for economic growth and “change you can believe in,” said Mark Hemmerle, the casino’s general manager.
The White House this week asked the casino to stop using the ad campaign, he said.
The print ads have run in The Indianapolis Star and commercials have appeared on local TV and radio stations. There are also billboards.
The casino has agreed to pull the ads this weekend, although the billboards will take longer to remove, Hemmerle said.
Indiana Live! Casino opens Friday in Shelbyville, next to the Indiana Downs horse-racing track.

Good. I like the people out there but that campaign was right tacky.
Wait…Obama doesn’t endorse the casino? Oh snap…I’m canceling my trip.
Agreed…I’m sure they spent a ton on the design but in the end…it kinda left a bad taste in my mouth about the place. Not a good idea to piss off people right out of the gate. (Was that last comment a horse racing reference? Maybe.)
They have ridden the coat-tails of Hoosier Park who pretty much made slots at the tracks happen. They should have taken a lesson in marketing also.
