Local real-estate effort promotes urban living

A grant from the Realtor Community Investment Initiative, an effort of the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors, is helping draw attention to the advantages of living in Indianapolis’ urban neighborhoods.

According to a news release from MIBOR, one of the RCII grant recipients is Live in the Districts, an initiative of Indianapolis Downtown Inc.

Live in the Districts aims to encourage the sale of homes in Indianapolis’ cultural districts — such as Broad Ripple Village, The Canal and White River State Park, Fountain Square, Indiana Avenue, Mass Ave. and the Wholesale District — by sharing personal stories of residents of those areas through the use of social and traditional media.

MIBOR is preparing for a fifth round of RCII funding. Proposal applications are due by Oct. 30, and the next round of recipients will be announced in December. To learn more, visit www.MIBOR.com/rcii.
