Valparaiso A Porter County jury heard testimony Wednesday from the partner of wounded Indianapolis police officer Jason Fishburn and a resident who watched part of a foot chase that ended in Fishburn’s shooting.

Brian Reese, 37, is charged with shooting Fishburn, 30, in the head and protective vest in July 2008 on Indianapolis’ Eastside. The trial was moved to the Northwest Indiana county because of heavy media coverage in Central Indiana.

Testimony will continue today, and Marion County prosecutors project that the trial will last through Tuesday, according to Mario Massillamany, spokesman for the prosecutor’s office.
