A star of Hindi cinema will make a stop in New Palestine as part of a U.S. tour in which he is doing stand-up comedy and talking about his conversion to Christianity.

At 6 p.m. Sunday, Johnny Lever will be at the Brookville Road Community Church, 7480 W. U.S. 52, New Palestine, according to a press release. The Rev. Shekhar Kallianpur, whom the release describes as well-known in India, will accompany him.

The event is free and open to the public.

Lever is known for his skill at impersonations in addition to various movie roles. Lever has a son who survived a malignant tumor, and Lever has expressed the belief that his son was healed through a miracle, according to release from TrendyMinds, an Indianapolis public relations firm.
