Anyone watch it last night? If you didn't, my hatred for Mohinder might be a spoiler, so stop reading NOW!

What'd y'all think??

It was entertaining, but I think my friend Margaret said it best to me today:

"You know what's sad? Gossip Girl was more interesting and had more twists and was basically more fun to watch than the stupid Heroes premiere. Heroes is supposed to be the smart show and Gossip Girl the guilty pleasure."

I always thought of Heroes as the poor man's Lost...NBC's answer to the best show on television. Don't get me wrong, sista loves her Heroes, but it's just always been not quite as good as Lost.

I trust the creators of Lost that everything will be explained, and with a good explanation at that.

I don't trust the Heroes folks the same way. They obviously didn't see Back to the Future, or they'd know that Present-Day Peter Petrelli shouldn't meet Future Peter otherwise it'd screw with the space/time continuum!

Thoughts on last night's double-episode:

1. Mohinder. Wasn't he the bad-acting doctor from the first two seasons who probably never touched a girl in his life, let alone have the manly, greased-up strength to rip off Maya's shirt? The Heroes-viewing party and I guessed that he obviously has been working out the whole time the writers were on strike. Or...was the strike an elaborate cover up? I think I like him more now, even with the gooey skin.

2. Speaking of Maya... Didn't she have a thick, thick accent? How did she go from illegal-immigrant cute to starring in Playboy's "Girls of the Far South" issue??

3. Angela Petrelli: Does she look like Sarah Palin, or does Sarah Palin look like her? That aside, she is hands DOWN the best character in this show.

4. Ando and Hiro: I was pretty angry, at first, when I realized they were going to create a rift between those two. Out of everything going on, shouldn't their strong friendship be the one constant? But I changed my mind. The fact that they can lose trust in each other opens up so many other possibilities in relationship changes. I'm not talking about Mohinder, though.

5. Speedy girl whose name isn't worth remembering: Dear Speedy girl whose name isn't worth remembering, 1999 says you left it with your Eminem hair and love for Carson Daly, and it really, really doesn't want you back. Stay in 2008, with Heroes, because we already don't have enough characters to keep up with!

OK, end rant. I was expecting a little more from this episode, but I'll still be watching next week!

Thoughts?

I'm slowly getting over Heroes and just aching for more Lost. I'm soo tired of Syler, I just want his character to die. How many times are they gonna have him knocked out and not cut off his head and make sure he is dead....it's like all the villans that get Bond on the ground with a gun aimed at him, only to die seconds later.

And why don't people use all their powers?! Peter has healing blood too, why couldn't he heal his brother in the hospital? The whole time transportation is getting tired and confusing and if Angela Petrelli sees the future in her dreams, then she should know every event that is going to happen...including the events that get changed through time travel.

Ehh...I might stop watching Heroes soon, it's getting a little out of hand.

I think the rift between Ando and Hiro happens because Hiro saw it in the future one of those things where you think it's going to happen so it happens type of deal.

I thought it was pretty good. That said, the show definitely has a tendency to get a bit ridiculous, and you've really got to leave logic out of the equation. Like the time-travelling Peter shooting Nathan instead of going like 5 minutes farther back in time and just being like "oh, hey bro, I'm from the future, don't spill the beans, cause it makes stuff suck." Seriously though, I'm usually pretty good at turning off this kind of thought process, and I really like the show even if it does get silly sometimes. Also, the Ando-Hiro thing will make me sad if it goes too far.
