Phoenix Wish For Our Heroes today announced that Pepsi has awarded the startup non-profit foundation a $50,000 grant to assist in granting wishes to U.S. active-duty military.

Wish For Our Heroes competed against nearly 1,100 causes throughout March in the Pepsi Refresh Project, which was created to better communities across the nation.

Wish For Our Heroes says it has granted almost 25 wishes, five of which were in Indiana, since its inception in November. It was founded by Jeff Wells, and his supply-chain employer, Greenwood-based The Phoenix Group.
