Grab your snow shovels on Saturday
Snow will make an encore return to Indianapolis. Starting tonight, there’s a chance of snow through the weekend, with the greatest chance of snow coming tomorrow.
The National Weather Service forecast says there’s a chance of one or two inches of snow on Saturday. Temperatures will stay cold with a high today of 33. Overnight lows will get as chilly as 12 degrees on Sunday night.
The most recent snow, which fell yesterday morning, was barely enough to be measured, but it came at the exact time to make roads slippery for Thursday morning commuters and lead to dozens of wrecks. That snow melted as soon as the sun came out yesterday morning.
This morning, roads have been clear and dry with only a few crashes, including what Lawrence police describe as a minor accident on Pendleton Pike near Carroll Road, and at 21st Street and German Church Road.
