GOP must move beyond falsehoods to real opposition

The Republican Party has a rich history of great leaders and some great ideas. It had Lincoln, Reagan, Eisenhower, the interstate highway system, watching the budgets. But the party of Lincoln is taking a wrong and dangerous turn.

The GOP is becoming known as the party of liars, cheaters and non-patriots. The recent “tea parties” were not sponsored by the GOP, but by members of Congress who are Republican supported in their vile efforts to lie about health care, make fun of the president of the United States by depicting him as a witch doctor, and lie to the American people. Where are all the decent Republicans? Why don’t they stand up and denounce all this craziness? Don’t you see what this might lead to? You decent Republicans may have blood on your hands.

We real Americans, including Republicans, do not want another national tragedy. GOP members, tell your leaders to stop the lies, the president as Hitler, “death panels” claims and other vile talk at these rallies. Americans know these are lies. GOP, stop it now; bring forth some real opposition to Democratic proposals. Stop it now.
