Wasn't certain where this should fit in.. afterall we eat Girl Scout Cookies so wouldn't that put them in "Dining"? They have been a long time tradition so that kind of fits them into "Arts & Culture" especially if you create a lifesize self portrait out of them.
Lastly, "Things to do".... well gosh golly Beave what better to do than to come home to a glass of milk an a box of Girl Scout cookies. What brings friends & family together more than that??? LOL

A friendly reminder that Girl Scouts begin taking orders this Saturday 1/12. I hope you'll help support your local Scout.

Good news -- it's Girl Scout Cookie time! One of the kids was just asking me about them the other day. Can't wait for our yearly Thin Mint fix. But here's a question -- what's your favorite variety?

I'm personally a Thin Mint fan, though some in my household prefer the peanut butter cookies. One mavrick even claims Samoas as his favorite!

Samoas are the creme-de-la-creme of Girl Scout Cookies in my book.

However, it should be noted that I am an avid freezer of thin mints for year-long enjoyment.

Groovy choices!! My all-time fav is the Thin Mints.... but then they went & made those mouth watering Samoas but you know... I like the peanut butter ones too!!! Just sign me up for loving them all.

Now the reall question... How much weight did you gain from this years cookies?? YIKES who wants to talk about that????

Better topic, there's a Thin Mint homemade recipe out there somewhere. Just do a search. It is basically made from Ritz crackers, a couple of drops of mint flavoring & melted chocolate.... mix dip, freeze YUM!

I actually didn't get hit up to buy cookies this year. Usually we've got neighborhood girls, parents at work, and family members trying to sell us cookies. Maybe I'm so fat no that they just feel too guilty offering me cookies.

I didnt get offered to buy any either this season :( This year I relied on friends to text me when they saw a stand out where they were selling outside a walmart or something. I would go over and pick a couple boxes up. But this year the samoas seemed a little on the crisp side this year, maybe it was because they were frozen, but they just werent chewy.

I managed to stumble upon a stand at o'malias this year. i tried again the next day and they weren't there any more. I guess I should have bought more than one box.

My absolute favorite are the Samoas. And they are the absolute best when you put some Edy's Samoa ice cream on top with a little hot fudge. If you didn't get to buy any of the cookies this year, you can still get the Girl Scout ice cream. It's not the same, but still good.

I thought the dosi does were good, but i had thin mints yesterday with ice cream and it was delicious. But yes samoas are the best. At least you can buy thin mints (Keebler Grasshoppers) all year round, but samoas its only around this time.
