Friday May 30: Virgil / Devils Of Belgrade / El Masivo @ Zanies Too
Virgil is an experimental instrumental rock band based in Indianapolis. Virgil draws from a diverse musical influence: everything from avant-garde to fusion to heavy metal to hard rock, all which shape Virgil's undefined sound.
Virgil formed in the fall of 1996 as a four piece, which members included Bob Bridges, Matt VanKersen, Thomas Janes, and Brenden Birch . All came from different local bands over the years including Outspoken, ToneBelt, Birdmen Of Alcatraz, Transgression and Devil To Pay. After a seven year layoff Virgil returned to the Indianapolis music scene in 2007 with new drummer Bennett Williams.
