Delphi — A Carroll County woman is accused of stealing money from a Cub Scout pack’s account.

According to an Indiana State Police news release, Jane Alison Popejoy, 38, Ambia, faces one felony count of theft after about $3,000 went missing from the account of Delphi-based Cub Scout Pack 3165.

A seven-month investigation led to the charges.

Popejoy is the pack’s former cubmaster/treasurer. The money was reported missing after a new treasurer took over, according to the release.

Popejoy turned herself in to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department on Monday and was released after posting bond, the release said.
