Five things I love

Carrie Cason, public relations coordinator for the city of Westfield, lives in Westfield with her husband, Brian, and their 20-month-old son. She moved to Westfield from Chicago five years ago and loves the area — especially the dining scene. “I’m a terrible cook,” she says, “so I love to eat out with my family and friends.”

Bread Pudding and Sauvignon Blanc on Keltie’s outdoor patio (110 S. Union St., Westfield). It may not be the most nutritious dinner, but it’s sure my favorite.

Corn chowder at Leland’s Restaurant (2550 E. 146th St., Westfield). In my opinion, it’s the world’s best, probably because of the potato chunks.

Vanilla milk shake at Oberweis Dairy (14641 U.S. 31 North, Westfield). It sounds average, but it’s more like exquisite. It’s a perfect addition to a warm day.

Hot dogs and beer at Wood Wind Golf Club (2302 W. 161st Street, Westfield). The best hot dogs and the coldest beer in Westfield — a perfect combination.

Cheeseburger at Charleston’s (14636 U.S. 31 North, Westfield). This huge, perfectly-done-every-time cheeseburger is second to none. It’s impossible to leave any on your plate.
