From Wikipedia: Quadraphonic sound uses four channels in which speakers are positioned at the four corners of the listening space, reproducing signals that are (wholly or in part) independent of each other. Quadraphonic audio was one of the earliest consumer offerings in surround sound.

If this sounds good to you, be sure to stop by the Harrison Center Friday December 7th. Michael Kaufmann AKA Future Rapper will be hosting the record release party for Asthmatic Kitty artist Chris Schlarb's 'Twilight & Ghost Stories'. 'Twilight & Ghost Stories' features Kaufmann, Liz Janes, John Ringhofer, Sufjan Stevens and many more. The record, which is officially released this Tuesday December 4th will be enjoyed in quadraphonic sound at the Harrison Center. The Harrison Center is located at 1505 N. Delaware. Be there by 7pm for all the fun!

Zaireeka!

We tried the Zaireeka experiment once but we discovered that most CD players have different playback speeds. Ideally you should have four playback devices that are the same brand and model.

I'll pass this advice on!!! It sounds like a difficult thing to actually pull off!

This should be very interesting. Michael Kaufmann definitely has a way of presenting music and artistic performances in completely new and unique ways. Click here to read Jessica Halverson's article about him.
