Film lit assignment: take three

So here's the final line-up for the 16-year-old's film lit assignment to compare/contrast three movies: Hard Day's Night, Tommy and Pink Floyd's The Wall. We ended up buying them all, which isn't so bad for me, except for The Wall, which I didn't particularly want to see. I saw Tommy in the theater when it came out (I was 12 and I'm not sure why I was even allowed to go -- must have been the word "opera" in its "rock opera" description!). But I watched Hard Day's Night with him, which he found to be the most enjoyable of the three by far. He liked picking out stuff like a nod to the Keystone Kops and Ringo's Chaplin-esque walking around scene. He also noticed how WWII still seemed to be a powerful image/reference to those born in England in the early 1940s.

Anyway, the paper came out pretty good; it was the class final, so I'll be interested to see his grade!
