The FBI is “aggressively beating the bushes” Wednesday to find two masked bank robbers who put a gun to an 11-year-old girl’s head during a hold-up at a Westside bank over the weekend.

“We are working with the Indianapolis police to do everything we4 can to get these violent, dangerous criminals off the street,” sad Federal Bureau of Investigations spokeswoman Wendy Osborne. “Anyone who would put a gun to an innocent child’s head needs to be behind bars.”

The FBI and Huntington Bank are offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the robbers.

The heist occurred at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Huntington Bank, 6714 Rockville Road, when two men wearing dark gray shirts and carrying handguns, entered the bank and demanded money.

One of the men, wearing a mask and a large wig, put the girl in a headlock as she entered the bank with her family and held a semi-automatic handgun with pink accents to her head. The other robber, brandishing a revolver, demanded money from a teller.

The men fled in a tan Dodge Intrepid that was reported stolen earlier. It was recovered in the 7400 block of Bentley Drive on the Far Westside about 20 minutes after the robbery, according to police.
