South Bend A former Penn High School assistant softball and basketball coach must serve 60 days in jail for sexual misconduct with a minor.

Brooke M. Biggs, 27, pleaded guilty last month to sexual misconduct. She was sentenced Wednesday to 24 months on that charge and 12 months for violating a no-contact order, but both terms were suspended on the condition that she serve 60 days in the St. Joseph County Jail. She also was put on probation for three years.

In exchange for the guilty plea, prosecutors dismissed two felony charges of child seduction and withdrew a petition to revoke Biggs’ bond after she met with the 16-year-old girl in late March.
