Variety is reporting that Sacha Baron Cohen ("Borat") will be headlining a new version of Sherlock Holmes, playing the famed detective, with none other than Will Ferrell playing his sidekick Watson.

Considering the leads, along with the fact that Etan Cohen ("Tropic Thunder") is writing the script and Judd Apatow ("Knocked Up," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," et al.) is producing, it's probably safe to assume this is a more comedic take on the characters.

The two "Talladega Nights" rivals had a pretty decent rapport in that film, so it'll be fun to see them continue that. And Paul Rudd had BETTER be playing Professor Moriarty.
