I've been watching Mad Men's 1st season lately. I'm about 12 episodes through, I only have like a few more I think. If you have Comcast it's OnDemand, I'm DVR'ing season 2 right now, until I catch up. I like the show, I don't love it....it is growing on me and getting better as the episodes go on. I liked AMC's other show, Breaking Bad, a lot more and can't wait for it to return.

There is far too much smoking in Mad Men, every 2 minutes in that show someone is smoking a cigarette...it's almost silly how often it happens. But Mad Men does have some great acting and great wardrobe and scenery, it's worth checking out.

I heard about all the smoking...but that was pretty typical back in the day I guess...I heard it is brutal on the cast because they have to smoke something that is all natural and not really full of the tobacco crap. I have a feeling that would be even worse. But smoking really does factor prominantly in a lot of 50's themed shows and movies. Mona Lisa Smile is a great example.

Absolutely we watch it. It is visually stunning, well written, has complex characters, and you never quite know where the storyline is going.
