Day of the Dead

I keep reading that the Day of the Dead holiday originated in Mexico. It's a Catholic Holiday first celebrated in the 10th century by Pope Gregory the Second in Italy. There is more to the World than The Americas.

Chiesa aggiunse, nel X° secolo, una nuova festa: il 2 Novembre il Giorno dei Morti in memoria delle anime degli scomparsi.
The Church added,in the 10th century,a new holiday: The 2nd of November The Day of the Dead in memory of the passed on souls.
