Dave And Tim and Obama
(Warning: This is A Rant ) Let me first start by thanking my future President elect Barrack Obama,Tim,and Dave for being proactive in the idea of gaining the public interest of the youth of this fine state that we live in. Now In the defense of those not in favor of this amazing event taking place; I have taken a few things into consideration.
First and foremost the idea that Obama may be stealing votes by doing this is ludicrous! It is our right as American citizens to vote for the candidate of our choosing and I think this was made most evident during the point in which Dave himself said, "Vote for who you want, But I will tell you who I am voting for".
For those of you who are a bit overbearing and maybe a little on the traditional and conservative side of the voting process, I say hear this: change is afoot and I hope you have on some steel toed boots. I am a free speaking member of the United States, not subject to political propaganda, I refuse to be bought, and I will be voting for Barrack Obama!
That was an awesome concert wasn't it? I agree that change is in the air. You can almost feel the excitement building whether you support Obama or Clinton. I'm glad to see that so many people of our generation are finally getting involved.
"Dave himself said, "Vote for who you want, But I will tell you who I am voting for".
I wasn't able to make it to the show, but I figured Dave would say something like the above quote to the crowd. He basically said the same thing in Dayton, OH, before the last election, when the band played as part of the "vote for change" tour. I think he was more like, "I'm not going to preach to you about who to vote for, but I can tell you who i'm NOT voting for(bush)"
saw highlights on the news though, looked pretty gnarly.

You are not subject to political propaganda and refuse to be bought yet you go to a free concert set on making you vote for Obama? I know he said you can vote for who you want but that doesn't erase the fact it was put on for Obama and had his logo behind them. Now you may have already been voting for him but I'd hate to break it to you buddy but a concert for a politician is propaganda so you were participating in it.
I better go get some steel toed boots because an evil conservative I can't stand change! Way to make generalizations. Good thing they spell the candidates' names on the ballot for you.

I attended the show and was happy about the way the whole thing went down. I am an open minded person when it comes to this election, and this in no way influenced my decision. I went and saw Bill Clinton speak last Wednesday and then ran over and got these tickets.
I know this event was sponsored by Obama, but I don't feel that they were pressuring anyone to vote for him and attending it didn't cast your support for him. It was a way for young people to see a great concert and also register to vote. After standing in line for 3.5 hours for tickets and then for 4 hours for the concert, it amazed me the amount of people that they registered to vote, who in any other situation would have not. I applaud Obama for coming up with an idea that got kids excited for a concert and in the mean time got them to register to vote.
That's my two cents...
