Found Magazine features lots of cool discoveries, like lost love letters, discarded drawings, and even to-do lists. PostSecret is an ongoing art project that encourages people to mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of homemade postcards. Both efforts make for some pretty thought-provoking reading, and they come together at Big Car Gallery on Nov. 15, when Found's Davy and Peter Rothbart join PostSecret's Frank Warren to show off some of their most recent finds.
4. Madame Walker 80th Anniversary Concert and Gala
8 p.m. concerts Nov. 16 and 17, $35-$80, Madame Walker Theatre Center, 617 Indiana Ave., www.walkertheatre.com.
Expect a weekend full of events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Madame Walker Theatre Center building. Head to the Walker to get health information on diabetes on Nov. 15-17, but stick around for a concert by international superstar Patti LaBelle, who has diabetes, on Nov. 16. The next night national recording artists Kirk Whalum and Wayman Tisdale take the stage, and an awards ceremony honors performer Savion Glover and actress, performer, foster care advocate and 80th anniversary honorary chair Victoria Rowell with Madam Walker legacy awards.
5. Stutz Holiday Exhibition
