•That '70s Show star Laura Prepon began her guest stint as Ted's ex-girlfriend on this double-run repeat of How I Met Your Mother (CBS, tonight, 8 ET/PT). If you want to watch only one, watch the second one, which centers on Lily's efforts to derail Ted's romance.

•It's the end of the seasonal line for one of cable's best shows and biggest hits, The Closer (9 p.m. ET/PT). First you get a marathon (starting at 10 a.m. ET/PT). Then the finale promises to close with another of the show's big surprises.

•Discovery launches Out of Egypt (Discovery, 9 ET/PT) with two episodes that explore the link between ancient practices and human instinct. The first focuses on relics, the second on pyramids.

•The always-welcome Sara Rue started her run as Leonard's new girlfriend on this repeat of The Big Bang Theory(CBS, 9:30 ET/PT). And if you've seen those ads with the boys playing "Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock," this is where the game was invented.

•Showtime leads into the season finale of Nurse Jackie with a new, but not final, episode of Weeds (10 ET/PT). Fans of that show have another week coming.
