The network devotes the evening to the series, starting with the special Torchwood: Inside the Hub (8 ET/PT) and then moving to the first hour of the five-hour miniseries that makes up Season 3: Torchwood: Children of Earth (9 ET/PT).

Airing consecutively over five nights, Children of Earth is a highly polished, beautifully scary production that takes the series into deep waters, all well-navigated by John Barrowman, the charismatic star. Some fans may not be thrilled with what some choices may mean for Torchwood's possible future, but don't let that deter you from watching a terrific miniseries that works perfectly as a stand-alone. If nothing else, you won't soon forget the shots of the children letting the world know what lies in store — a signature image if ever there was one.
