FISHERS — Plainfield’s popular Chateau Thomas Winery is adding a third location in Fishers.

The winery with locations in Plainfield and Nashville, Ind., decided to set up shop in the northern Indianapolis metropolitan area because several customers live there. The winery’s operators chose Fishers because of the town’s central location and access to I-69, General Manager Sheila Kavanaugh said.

Chateau Thomas is moving in next to Fionn MacCool’s Irish Pub, 8211 E. 116th St.

The shop will offer daily tastings and music on Friday and Saturday nights, Kavanaugh said. It should be open by the end of the month.

Chateau Thomas makes more than 50 wines, and it’s famous for its reds. The winery gained attention earlier this year when its Slender wines, which are made with no-calorie sweeteners, were featured in gift baskets at the Academy Awards.
