On a night traditionally reserved for football, the Center Grove cross-country teams made some noise, too.

The Trojans topped Pike in meets run at halftime of Friday night’s football game.

In the boys meet, Center Grove swept the top five spots and beat Pike 15-45. Nathan Catt, a senior, won in 17 minutes, .02 seconds.

In the girls meet, Center Grove beat Pike 54-61. Center Grove freshman Delainey Burnett reached the finish line first.

Center Grove beat Pike 24-7 in the football game. It’s the fourth consecutive year the school has run a cross-country meet at halftime of a home football game.
